Kitchens designed, supplied and fitted across the North East.

One team for the whole job. We design it, supply it, strip out the old one and fit the new one, and we bring the electrician, gas engineer, plasterer and tiler with us. Or if you have already bought your kitchen, we will fit it properly.

A kitchen is only as good as the room it goes into.

Most kitchens are sold before anybody has seen the room. A plan is drawn to standard sizes, the boxes turn up, and whoever fits them finds out on the day that the floor falls away by fifteen millimetres and the back wall bows. That is the point where a kitchen either gets scribed and packed properly or gets fudged with a bead of silicone.

We measure the room ourselves, design around what is actually there, and cut to it on the day. Old houses are rarely square and floors are rarely level, so the units get packed, the plinths get scribed and the end panels get cut to the wall rather than left with a shadow gap nobody mentions.

We also bring the rest of the trades with us. Electrics, gas, plumbing, plastering, tiling and flooring are all handled by people we work with week in and week out, so you deal with us and we deal with everybody else.

What a full kitchen job covers

Everything from the first measure to the last door adjustment, with one written price covering all of it.

Design and drawings

We measure the room, talk through how you cook and store things, then draw it up properly so you can see it before you commit to anything.

Supply from the trade

Howdens, PWS, InHouse, Benchmarx and Magnet, plus German handleless ranges. Trade prices and a range that suits the budget rather than one showroom brand.

Strip out and first fix

The old kitchen out, the rubbish away, then walls made good and the electrics and pipework moved to suit the new layout before a single unit goes in.

Worktops templated

Laminate, solid surface, quartz or granite. Templated on site once the units are level, so the joints land where they should and the sink cut out is right first time.

Electrics, gas and plumbing

NICEIC registered electrician and Gas Safe engineer, both certified. Sockets where you actually want them rather than where the old ones happened to be.

Tiling, flooring and making good

Splashbacks, floors, plastering and decoration finished off, then the room walked through with you and anything you are not happy with sorted.

Three ways to work with us

Not everybody needs the full service. Some people want the lot handled, some have already bought a kitchen and just need a joiner they can trust, and some only want the units at trade price. Tell us where you are up to and we will price the part you actually want.

What is included either way

  • Design, supply and fit, the full job handled
  • Fitting only, for kitchens bought from Wren, Howdens, B and Q or IKEA
  • Supply only, at trade prices with a full parts list
  • Our own team on site, never an outside crew
  • NICEIC registered electrician and Gas Safe engineer
  • Free design visit and a fixed written quote
  • Dates agreed before we start, and kept
  • Rubbish taken away and the room left clean

How a kitchen job runs

No showroom appointment and no pressure selling. We come to the room, because that is where the job is.

1

Design visit

We come to you, measure up, talk through how you use the room and what you want to change. Free, with no obligation at the end of it.

2

Design and quote

You get a drawn design, the ranges and finishes to choose from, and a written quote with the trades and the worktops included. No moving numbers later.

3

Strip out and fit

Old kitchen out, first fix electrics and plumbing, units in and levelled, worktops templated and fitted, then second fix, tiling and flooring.

4

Snag and hand over

We walk the room with you, sort anything you are not happy with, take the rubbish away and leave it clean. Certificates for the electrics and gas follow.

What people say afterwards

Rated 5.0 on Google and Checkatrade, with every review answered personally.

Absolutely fantastic service from Matty and his team. When he arrived to put my new kitchen in we discovered my floor had rotted unnoticed due to a leak under the washing machine, and without hesitation it was repaired with no complaints or fuss. Trustworthy, honest and goes above and beyond.

Jeanette LawsonSunderland

I would recommend this company and give it a 5 star rating from my own personal experience. It was a challenging kitchen to fit but from start to finish Matthew made a professional job. The workmanship is amazing and an honest and very nice lad to have worked with.

Tracy AllisonNewcastle

Matt is an absolute perfectionist. The quality of his work is outstanding and his attention to detail is to be admired. The ability he has to make complex carpentry adjustments to ensure a perfect fit is amazing. He was joined by Cameron who worked equally as hard.

Where we fit kitchens

Based in County Durham and working right across the North East. If your town is not listed, ring us anyway, we travel further for larger jobs.

Kitchen questions we get asked

If yours is not here, ring us and ask. We would rather tell you straight than have you find out halfway through the job.

How much does a new kitchen cost?

Most of the kitchens we fit in County Durham land somewhere between eight and twenty five thousand pounds all in, depending on the size of the room, the range you choose and how much of the room needs putting right underneath. A fitting only job is far less. You get one written price covering the units, the worktops, the trades and the making good, and it does not move once you have signed it off.

Can you fit a kitchen I have already bought?

Yes, and we do it often. If you have bought from Wren, Howdens, B and Q, IKEA or anywhere else, we will take it from the flat packs in your garage through to a finished room. We will tell you honestly before we start if anything in the order is missing or will not work in the space, which is more common than most people expect.

Do you handle the electrics, gas and plastering as well?

We do. We bring our own electrician and gas engineer, both registered, plus a plasterer, tiler and decorator when the job needs them. They are people we work with week in and week out, not an outside crew subcontracted in for the day. Certificates for the electrical and gas work follow after the fit.

How long will I be without a kitchen?

A straightforward replacement is usually one to two weeks on site. A larger job, or one that involves moving walls, re-plastering or adding a utility, runs longer. We tell you at the quote stage roughly how long you will be without a working kitchen, and we agree the dates before we start.

Are German kitchens worth the extra?

For some people, yes. The carcasses come rigid rather than flat packed, the drawer runners and hinges are a step up, and handleless ranges only really work properly at that build quality. If your budget is tighter, a well fitted painted shaker will look and last better than a German kitchen fitted badly. We will show you both and tell you what we would put in our own house.

Do you charge for the design visit or the quote?

No. The visit, the measure up, the drawn design and the written quote are all free and there is no obligation at the end of it. We would rather spend an hour finding out the job is not right for you than have either of us discover it later.

Which areas do you cover for kitchens?

We are based in County Durham and fit kitchens right across the North East, including Durham, Houghton le Spring, Chester le Street, Seaham, Peterlee, Washington, Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead and Northumberland.
