Fitted bedrooms built to the room you have, not the room you wish you had.

Wardrobes that go right into the sloped ceiling, round the chimney breast and up to the picture rail. Designed around what you actually own, built on site and finished so they look like part of the house.

A free standing wardrobe wastes the foot of space above it.
A fitted one does not.

Most bedrooms lose a surprising amount of space to furniture that does not fit them. A free standing wardrobe leaves a dusty foot of nothing on top, a gap down each side you cannot reach, and it still will not go near the chimney breast or under the slope of a dormer.

Fitted is the answer to all three, but only if it is actually built to the room. We measure the alcoves, the slope, the skirting line and the floor, then build and scribe on site so the wardrobes run wall to wall and floor to ceiling with no filler strips and no shadow gaps.

Inside is worked out around what you own rather than a standard carcass. Long hanging for coats and dresses, double hanging where you mostly wear shirts, internal drawers, shoe racks, pull down rails for the high sections, and lighting that comes on when the door opens.

What we build into it

The inside matters more than the doors. We work it out around what you actually own before anything is ordered.

Hanging worked out properly

Long hanging for coats and dresses, double hanging where you mostly wear shirts, and a pull down rail for the sections you cannot reach.

Internal drawers and shelving

Soft close drawers inside the carcass rather than a chest taking up floor space, plus shelving and shoe racks sized to what you have.

Sloped ceilings and dormers

Built up into the slope with angled tops rather than stopping short of it, which is where most of the usable space in a loft or dormer room actually is.

Around chimney breasts

Wardrobes either side and a bridging unit over the top, so the breast stops being an obstacle and becomes the middle of a full wall of storage.

Hinged or sliding doors

Hinged where there is room to swing them, sliding where there is not. Painted, woodgrain, mirrored or handleless, matched to the rest of the room.

Lighting inside

Warm strip lighting to the hanging and shelving, on a door switch or a dimmer, wired in by our NICEIC registered electrician and certified.

Three ways to work with us

Some people want the lot handled from design to final adjustment. Some have already bought a bedroom range and just need a joiner who will fit it properly. Some only want the units at trade price to fit themselves. Tell us where you are up to and we will price the part you actually want.

What is included either way

  • Design, supply and fit, the full job handled
  • Install only, for bedrooms you have already bought
  • Supply only, at trade prices with a full parts list
  • Built and scribed on site, not delivered flat
  • Our own team in the house, never an outside crew
  • Free design visit and a fixed written quote
  • Dates agreed before we start, and kept
  • Old furniture taken away and the room left clean

How a fitted bedroom job runs

No showroom appointment and no pressure selling. We come to the room, because that is where the job is.

1

Design visit

We come to you, measure the room including the slopes and alcoves, and go through what you need to hang, fold and store. Free, with no obligation.

2

Design and quote

You get the layout, the door and finish options and a written price covering the build, any electrics and the making good. No moving numbers later.

3

Build and fit

Carcasses built and scribed to the walls, floor and ceiling, doors hung and adjusted, internals fitted out, then filled and sanded ready for decoration.

4

Finish and hand over

Painted in, doors and drawers adjusted, lighting tested, old furniture taken away and the room left clean.

What people say afterwards

Rated 5.0 on Google and Checkatrade, with every review answered personally.

Absolutely fantastic service from Matty and his team. When he arrived to put my new kitchen in we discovered my floor had rotted unnoticed due to a leak under the washing machine, and without hesitation it was repaired with no complaints or fuss. Trustworthy, honest and goes above and beyond.

Jeanette LawsonSunderland

I would recommend this company and give it a 5 star rating from my own personal experience. It was a challenging kitchen to fit but from start to finish Matthew made a professional job. The workmanship is amazing and an honest and very nice lad to have worked with.

Tracy AllisonNewcastle

Matt is an absolute perfectionist. The quality of his work is outstanding and his attention to detail is to be admired. The ability he has to make complex carpentry adjustments to ensure a perfect fit is amazing. He was joined by Cameron who worked equally as hard.

Where we fit bedrooms

Based in County Durham and working right across the North East. If your town is not listed, ring us anyway, we travel further for larger jobs.

Fitted bedroom questions we get asked

If yours is not here, ring us and ask. We would rather tell you straight than have you find out halfway through the job.

How much do fitted wardrobes cost?

Most fitted bedrooms land between three and nine thousand pounds, depending on the width of the run, whether it goes into a slope, how much of the inside is drawers rather than shelving, and the door finish. You get one written price covering the build, any electrics and the making good.

Can you build into a sloped ceiling?

Yes, and it is usually where the biggest gain is. We build up into the slope with angled tops rather than stopping at the lowest point, which is what a free standing wardrobe forces you to do. Loft conversions and dormer rooms are the obvious ones.

Hinged or sliding doors?

Hinged if there is room to swing them, because you see the whole inside at once and they cost less. Sliding if the room is tight or the bed sits close to the wardrobes. We will tell you which makes sense once we have measured the room.

Can you fit a bedroom I have already bought?

Yes. If you have bought a range from a retailer and need it fitting properly, we will take it from the flat packs through to a finished room, and we will tell you before we start if anything in the order will not work in the space.

How long does a fitted bedroom take?

Usually three to five days on site for a standard run of wardrobes, plus decorating time if we are painting them in. A full dressing room or a room with heavy slopes takes longer. Dates are agreed before we start.

Do I need to empty the room first?

The wall we are working on needs clearing, and it helps if the old wardrobes are out, though we can take those away for you. The rest of the room can stay as it is. We sheet up and keep the dust down as much as the job allows.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in County Durham and fit bedrooms right across the North East, including Durham, Houghton le Spring, Chester le Street, Seaham, Peterlee, Washington, Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead and Northumberland.
